Abstract

El trabajo tiene como objetivo a través de un conjunto de guías de la ciudad de Valencia, analizar cuál era la imagen turística de la ciudad entre los años 1840-1930. Los documentos, que se analizan en fondo y forma, ponen de manifiesto que la ciudad no supo encontrar en esos años el lugar adecuado en el escenario turístico español y europeo a pesar de eventos como la Exposición de 1909
