Abstract

Es mostra el pensament poblacional de Cavanilles i s'analitzen les informacions demogràfiques de les Observaciones. La població era un element clau en els plantejaments econòmics i socials de l'autor. No estem davant d'un especialista, i algunes dades fonamentals les interpreta de manera interesada per tal de presentar un balanç optimista de les accions de govern. Cal una utilització més crítica de les seues xifres demogràfiques.
