Abstract

Se estudia la génesis y evolución de los depósitos eólicos cuaternarios existentes en el frente marino de la Serra Gelada. Estos alcanzan cerca de los 200 m de altitud y se implican con taludes y conos desprendidos de los acantilados. Se describen las formulaciones existentes para la evaluación del transporte sólido eólico, determinándose sus tasas en el área. Se analizan igualmente las condiciones generales de formación de las dunas trepadoras a fin de evaluar las posibles condiciones genéticas de dichas eolianitas.
