Lineamientos para autores
1. Submission of manuscripts
Manuscripts can only be submitted through the platform of the publication Cuadernos de Geografía de la Universitat de València, accessible from the URL: https://turia.uv.es/index.php/CGUV/index.
All manuscripts must be original works not previously published in any other medium or in any other language and not under review in any other publication. Papers presented orally or in poster format at congresses, seminars and similar events will be considered as original and therefore eligible for consideration for publication.
Manuscripts must be written in one of the four languages of the journal: Catalan, Spanish, English or French.
2. Type of manuscripts and length
Papers published by Cuadernos de Geografía de la Universitat de València can be of two types:
- Articles. Texts that will expose research developed by the author(s) on a topic according to the thematic lines of the journal. Maximum length of 9,000 words (including bibliography and footnotes, excluding title, abstract and keywords), and counting separately maps, graphs and tables (or other graphic material). Each of these elements will be equivalent to 300 words for the purposes of maximum length.
- Reviews. Short texts that will present information and critical evaluation of recently published books on a subject in accordance with the thematic lines of the journal. Maximum length of 2,500 words (bibliography apart).
- Form and editing rules
Texts must fully comply with the guidelines that can be consulted in this document and with the regulations of the language in which they were written. Authors are urged to ensure that the text is well written and to use egalitarian language that does not discriminate against or invisibilize any gender.
4. Format of the files
Text files should preferably be processed in LibreOffice (.odt) or Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx). Text editing should conform to the standards established in point 3 of these guidelines (Form and Editing Standards).
The image files will be in .tiff format and will have a resolution of 300 dpi. Color images will be published with their original palette in the digital format of the magazine, and will be converted to grayscale for eventual publication in the paper edition.
5. Non-acceptance of works
Exclusive criteria for the non-acceptance of works will be the following:
- Exceeding the established length according to the type of collaboration.
- Failure to use the proposed citation system as indicated.
- Failure to send the paper in the required format or without the appropriate formalities indicated.
- Any other circumstance that the Editorial Board considers inappropriate for the publication of the work.
Researchers who wish to coordinate a monograph should contact the journal's management and send a provisional 'Call for Papers' to be evaluated by the Editorial Board.
