Abstract

This book contains parts of the first doctoral thesis in Spain on audiovisual pedagogy in music classrooms, written by the author of this book. After more than two decades, it has been published this year. Among the pages of this work, one can find a great variety of examples and proposals especially aimed at music teachers. The result is a text divided into ten chapters, presented through a clarifying introduction and a powerful final coda. All of the author's arguments show a marked motivational character, with multiple references to film music, which invites reflection and invites us not to watch audiovisual material again without considering its educational potential.

Author Biography

José Manuel Azorín-Delegido, Universidad Católica de Murcia

Diplomado en Magisterio (especialidad de Educación Musical) por la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, Graduado en Educación Primaria por la Universidad Católica de Murcia, Máster en investigación e innovación en Educación Infantil y Primaria y Doctor en Didáctica de la Música por la Universidad de Murcia, actualmente es profesor en la Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia. En esta universidad desarrolla labores de investigación, innovación y docencia en el campo de la didáctica de la música, además de desempeñar cargos de gestión tanto en enseñanzas de Grado como de Máster desde el curso 2011/2012. Sus líneas de investigación se centran en la música de los medios audiovisuales y la Educación Musical en las aulas de Educación Infantil, Primaria y Secundaria. Igualmente desarrolla investigaciones centradas en los libros de texto de Educación Musical. Inició su carrera investigadora en el Grupo Procesos y contextos educativos y, actualmente, continúa desarrollando esta labor en el Grupo de Investigación Interdisciplinar en Didácticas Específicas de la UCAM del cual es IP.
