Africa is configured as a great mosaic of cultures where linguistic diversity coincides with musical variety. At a time when our Western society is characterized by an accumulation of disparate artistic currents, styles, techniques and aesthetics - in addition to other factors such as the economy or the media, which especially drive and condition life - it is extraordinary to think That at the same time there are places where traditional music is still in force, that is, practiced daily, that has not yet lost its original function and that is in permanent interaction with life, being an essential part of it. Therefore, far from considering them "exotic" or "primitive" and without making the mistake of incorporating or attributing these traditional music as a further discovery to add to the enriched cultural heritage of the West - since its reality is that and not this one - To the sources where they are practiced and to have the possibility to realize experimental works on the ground, can be considered like a real privilege, besides a fabulous musical and human experience.
