Abstract

Resumen: La obra del profesor Subirats realiza un amplio recorrido por el pasado, presente y futuro del municipalismo. Se trata de ofrecer una serie de reflexiones acerca de las problemáticas propias de las sociedades industriales y cómo han de resolverse en clave local. En un escenario de globalización, la lógica estado-mercado queda obsoleta y ciertos problemas deben ser abordados desde un enfoque municipal. Objeto de reflexión es de qué manera serán integradas en el terreno de lo local los elementos tecnológicos propios del siglo XXI. En definitiva, el libro ofrece un espacio de reflexión acerca de la convivencia dentro de los municipios y ciudades.
