This article reflects on the prevention work carried out through activities and workshops on sexual affective education with teenagers from Salamanca and the province, both inside and outside the classroom. The research investigates the following questions: what they know about sexuality, if they feel greater sexual freedom, how they build desire or what role patriarchy and feminism have in this construction. Also, how does capitalist socialization influence the construction of their subjectivities. The interventions’ carried out help to think about the way in which we develop sexuality and its dynamics in a socioeconomic system from which we build the meanings of what surround us and where the gender issue is key. In this framework, social networks, pornography, the cult of the image and its hyper sexualization or the lack of affective sexual education comprise a large part of the context in which we develop out sexuality.
