This article publishes the unpublished report “Spain’s Honest Man”, written by the Mexican author Anita Brenner to introduce Miguel de Unamuno’s figure and works to the US public opinion. Originally written in
English for Scribner’s Magazine in 1931, the report is now published in bilingual version Spanish-English, preceded by an introductory study and accompanied with textual and contextual footnotes.
