Abstract
This paper shows the proposal of equivalences and recommended adaptations of the foreign words in the successive editions of the didactic dictionaries published by the Academies: Diccionario del estudiante (Spanish Royal Academy) and Diccionario práctico del estudiante (Spanish Royal Academy and Association of Academies of the Spanish Language). It also includes the comparison between the proposed solutions both in the different versions of the academic dictionaries and other works (Diccionario panhispánico del español, Diccionario esencial, Diccionario de americanismos, Libro de estilo de la lengua Española and Diccionario de la lengua española).
