The newsletter is a web marketing strategy currently used by most companies and institutions of all kinds. In fact, this is a novel genre of Internet, an emergent genre (Shepherd and Watters, 1998: 98), whose main communicative purpose is the direct persuasion of subscribers. In the present study, using a corpus of the last 27 Spain.info newsletters, we propose to determine the main characteristics of this communicative discourse genre.Downloads
