Abstract

The language of Mineralogy and Gemmology uses a specific, technical vocabulary. As sciences these fields require a precise terminology for description analysis, research in the laboratory. But they deal with objects that are also pieces of art or investment products or even part of a therapeutic system. As such the language used in these fields becomes popular and polysemic.
