Abstract

This contribution provides comprehensive updated information on the ammonoid biostratigraphy of the Neocomian Andean basins of Argentina and Chile. Comments on the ammonoid faunal affinities and possible correlations with the European Standard zones are also discussed. Severa! plates illustrate the most important components of the different assemblages.
