Classification of european oligocene cricetids

Resumen

A proposal is made for a classification of Oligocene European cricetids. Various problems concerning the evolu­tion of Eucricetodon and Pseudocricetodon are discussed. A new species of Pseudocricetodon is described from a level slightly lower than the oldest occurrence of the genus, known so far.
