Abstract

The attention to literature as an instrument for the education of the jurist, as a language that allows transmitting what is at the core of law, is one of the characteristic features of Javier de Lucas's work. This paper selects four novels evoked in his lectures and writings to illuminate problems such as disobedience to the law, human mobility, citizenship, and the recognition of the other. By way of a closing clause, a reference to a poem condenses Professor De Lucas's commitment to the struggle against social exclusion.
