Abstract

In this text, José Manuel Durão Barroso, President of the European  Commission, recalls his personal past in Geneva, underscoring the present and the future of the project of European integration. In doing so, he describes the place of the European Union within the context of a world in which geopolitical changes have increased exponentially.
