As ‘categorias verbais invariáveis’ nos tratados linguísticos portugueses anteriores ao século xix: advérbios e locuções adverbiais

Abstract

In this work a grammatical word class is analyzed: the adverb, and particularly, the adverbial phrases, taking in account that an outstanding factor to fix a linguistic unity is its codification and grammatization as well as its lexico graphical insertion. In this article we ar going to consider the place that this particle occupies among the other word classes and the grammaticographical treatment of the adverbial phrases in the Portuguese grammars, from 1536 till 1770, date of the institutionalization of the training of mother language; all of that in comparison with the information offered by the Spanish grammarians.
