Contemporary Italian cinema as a modern storyteller
Keywords:
Cinema, Interdisciplinarity, Identity, Change, InterculturalityAbstract
After some introductory considerations on the recent evolution of the film industry, marked by a higher degree of digitization and an increasingly fragmented use, this contribution focuses on the interdisciplinary nature of Film Studies. By highlighting how cinema can be interpreted as a tool for expressing plural identities, as fictitious manifestation of social changes, as well as intercultural space, is reaffirmed its function as a modern storyteller which continues to narrate and fascinate. The second part presents the contents of the monographic dossier, focusing attention on each essay published here.
