Carta enviada al director del Giornale del Mattino, de Florencia, el 20 de mayo de 1956. En ella, Lorenzo Milani, como respuesta a un discurso del ministro de Educación, habla de la pobreza y la emigración, del conocimiento y la visión del mundo de los jóvenes rurales y de los jóvenes urbanos, y del dominio de la palabra.
