Abstract
The main objective of this article is to research the treatment of textbooks ofhistory used in secondary schools from a gender point of view. To develop it, we are going tofocus in a period of the recent history, as the Franco’s dictatorship was. Later on and takinginto account that gender’s view is outside the contents and the explanations of the historicfacts, which are close related to the development, the changes, the remains and the lasts of asociety, its structures and its subjects, we are going to make a teaching proposal that allowsthe students to learn women’s contribution during Franco’s era.
