he essay by Deleuze and Guattari Kafka. Pour une littérature mineure (1975) is a key text to understand the main conceptual transformations in Deleuze and Guattari’s thought between L’Anti-OEdipus (1972) and Mille Plateaux (1980). This paper is an attempt to trace some of such mutations, which will serve us to expose the characteristic traits that define Societies of Control. We will start with the analysis of the works by Kafka studied by Deleuze and Guattari in order to find in them the first guidelines describing this kind of societies. Then we will focus our attention on the relationship between desire, subjectivity and politics in such societies
